Job Summary

This role at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences involves bridging the gap between pedagogical requirements and technical implementation within the NAKA project. You will be responsible for developing an innovative learning system that couples a humanoid robot with a digital avatar to deliver educational content. Day-to-day tasks include designing system architectures, integrating robotics and avatar components, and implementing AI-driven dialogue systems (LLMs/RAG). You will also handle API development, data pipelines, and conduct pilot testing in real-world teaching contexts. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Robotics, AI, Educational Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in at least one area: software development, robotics integration, XR/avatar development, or conversational AI
  • Experience with interface and backend connections including APIs and data flows
  • Experience in testing and versioning (Git/CI/CD preferred)
  • Experience in user or field testing of prototypes is an advantage
  • Professional experience in requirements engineering and technical concept development
