Job Summary

Join FITKO, a dynamic and agile unit driving the digitalization of public administration in Germany. This role is for an IT Architect specializing in solution architectures, working within the 'Federal IT Architecture and Standardization Management, Cybersecurity' department. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to identify optimization potential in federal IT architectures, develop solution options, and contribute to reference architectures. Your day-to-day will involve advising product management on architectural questions, initiating and supporting implementation projects aligned with the IT Planning Council's strategy, and contributing your expertise to various working groups. This position is ideal for creative, team-oriented individuals who thrive in a flat hierarchy and are passionate about leveraging innovative methods to transform public administration.

Required Skills

Education

University Diploma or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a qualified role if not holding a university degree
  • Proven knowledge and experience in the conception, development, and operation of IT systems
  • Strong overview of current technologies and trends in software development and IT operations
  • Operational experience in IT system architecture, IT operations, software development, IT standards, API design, project/product management, business analysis, or business process modeling (advantageous)
  • Routine in using the Archimate modeling language and familiarity with relevant tools and frameworks for IT architecture management (ideal)
