Job Summary

This full-time, permanent role involves maintaining and repairing critical ground support and testing equipment for all aircraft types at the Bundeswehr's WTD 61 technical center in Manching. You will perform inspections, troubleshooting, and technical modifications on both mobile ground units and stationary aircraft emergency arrestor systems. A key part of the role includes conducting mandatory mechanical and electrical safety tests on machinery and equipment. This position offers an attractive public service salary (TVöD E 9a) and the opportunity to support flight testing operations. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Aircraft Electronics Technician, Aircraft Mechanic, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Electronics Technician for Machines and Drive Technology, or a similar recognized electrotechnical/mechatronic qualification.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant electrotechnical or mechatronic field
  • Experience in maintenance, repair, and inspection of technical equipment
  • Professional experience in aircraft mechanics or electronics is highly preferred

Languages

English (Basic)

  • Driving license classes B/C/E required; willingness to undergo a Level 2 Security Clearance (Ü2); willingness to undergo a medical examination; readiness for regular domestic and international business trips; participation in on-call services.
