Job Summary

This role is for a Development Engineer specializing in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) technology, focusing on energy cable systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and qualifying new products by planning, overseeing, and interpreting tests in high-voltage laboratories. Key responsibilities include project management for product development, electrical and mechanical component design using both analytical and computational methods, and leading application-oriented research from theoretical investigation to development. This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on power engineering, ideally complemented by a doctorate in high-voltage technology. The role is ideal for a proactive professional with experience in energy grids or high-voltage equipment, who thrives in an intercultural and agile environment and is eager to contribute to innovative product solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Technical degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Engineering. Doctorate in High Voltage Technology (desirable).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical energy grids or high-voltage equipment
  • Professional experience in electrical partial discharge measurement on high-voltage components
  • Several years of industry-specific professional experience in cable systems (desirable)
  • Experience in FEM simulation (mechanical, electrical, and/or thermal) (advantageous)
