Job Summary
As a Senior IT Support Specialist at the Vocational Training Center (BBZ) Bad Oldesloe, you will lead the first-level support operations for a large educational institution serving 2,000 students and 140 teachers. Your daily responsibilities include managing the IT support ticketing system, prioritizing requests, and coordinating with the internal administration team to ensure a stable digital learning environment. Beyond reactive support, you will take a proactive role in network administration, managing virtualized server landscapes (Windows and Linux), and developing IT security concepts. This role is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on troubleshooting and strategic project planning. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Systems Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a relevant vocational qualification with several years of profound professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in system administration and operating complex IT infrastructures
- Professional experience in technical leadership or coordination of IT support teams
- Experience in managing virtualized environments and server landscapes
- Proven track record in network planning and optimization
- Experience in public service or educational IT environments is beneficial

- Must be available to start by June 1, 2026. Position is available as full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours). Vacation is preferably to be taken during school holiday periods. Trainer aptitude certification (AEVO) is desirable but not mandatory.
