Job Summary
Join ELA Basel, a vibrant international early years and primary school in the heart of cosmopolitan Basel, as a School Assistant (80-90%). This crucial role supports teachers and students aged 3 months to 12 years, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Day-to-day duties involve comprehensive student supervision during lessons, breaks, lunch, and off-site activities, ensuring safety and promoting well-being and social skills development. You will also provide essential classroom and teacher support, assist with resource management, and plan and supervise engaging after-school programs. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and German, possess relevant experience in a school setting, and be comfortable operating in a multicultural environment. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork, reliability, and excellent communication skills, alongside competency in Google Workspace. Candidates must have the right to work in Switzerland and be willing to undergo thorough child protection screening.
