Job Summary

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will join the Research & Development team to drive innovation in motor drive applications (48VDC-400VDC) across industries such as robotics, drones, and power tools. Your daily activities will involve defining new MOSFET technologies, conducting system simulations, and designing demo boards to secure design-wins. You will bridge the gap between hardware and software by performing lab measurements, developing MCU firmware, and providing 3rd-level technical support to field engineers and customers. This role is unique for its blend of deep semiconductor research and hands-on application development, offering the chance to shape future motor drive systems through international customer engagement and collaborative innovation projects. The position is ideal for a proactive expert who enjoys both high-level system architecture and detailed lab-based prototyping.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (University or University of Applied Sciences) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on power electronics and MCU firmware.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of working experience in the semiconductor or power electronics industry
  • Professional experience in developing and supporting motor drive applications (48VDC-400VDC)
  • Experience in system-level simulation and mathematical modeling
  • Proven background in lab automation and hardware measurement techniques
  • Experience in customer-facing technical support and international design-in activities

Additional

  • Willingness to undertake international business trips is required. This is a fixed-term position limited to 1 year. The role is subject to the collective salary agreement for the electrical and electronics industry (Employment Group G-H).
