As a Data Scientist in Manufacturing at Siemens Healthineers, you will play a pivotal role in driving Industry 4.0 initiatives within the Medical Electronics Supply Chain. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve designing and maintaining complex data pipelines, developing analytical models for classification and forecasting, and creating KPI dashboards using tools like Power BI and Qlik Sense. You will collaborate closely with IT and supply chain functions to optimize processes through digital innovation. This role is highly attractive due to its flexibility, offering up to 60% mobile work within Germany and the option for full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours) arrangements. You will be part of a global, agile team working at the intersection of healthcare technology and advanced data science, utilizing cutting-edge tools like Snowflake, Kafka, and neural networks to improve patient care indirectly through supply chain excellence.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or Diploma in Data Science, Mathematics, (Business) Informatics, Electronics, Medical Engineering, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in Data Science, Data Cloud, data mining, and analysis
- Proven experience in implementing AI solutions using self-trained neural networks
- Practical experience in real-time data streaming (e.g., Kafka) from IoT/machines to SQL and Cloud databases
- Experience with E2E full-stack implementation of software applications including backend, databases, and GUIs
- Experience in creating real-time dashboards and KPI reporting solutions
