Job Summary

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and technical documentation of automation, control, and electrical systems within the Energy Industries sector. Your daily responsibilities include designing PLC and control systems, low and medium voltage systems, and field instrumentation for power plants, oil & gas, and process industries. You will oversee manufacturing and assembly services, participate in commissioning, and provide technical consulting to customers. This role is highly dynamic, requiring you to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to strict quality and safety guidelines. What makes this position unique is the blend of office-based engineering and on-site field work, offering a high degree of autonomy and the chance to work with cutting-edge energy technologies in an international environment.

Required Skills

Education

Technical degree (HTL / FH / TU) in Electrical Engineering or related field; or a completed Apprenticeship/Technical School in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • 5 years in a relevant professional field with a technical degree (HTL/FH/University)
  • 10 years in electrical engineering if holding a vocational apprenticeship or technical school qualification
  • Professional experience in the design and dimensioning of electrical systems and automation
  • Experience in technical project planning within power plants, oil & gas, or process industries
  • Experience in assembly supervision and commissioning
