Job Summary
As an IT Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between strategic planning and daily operations for IT services. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing the IT portfolio, overseeing asset and license management, and ensuring transparency throughout the IT lifecycle. You will act as a key liaison between internal departments and external partners, managing supplier relationships, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and contract negotiations. Beyond simple purchasing, you will coordinate complex procurement processes for hardware, software, and services, ensuring all components integrate into functional IT systems. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy optimizing processes and controlling IT assets within a mission-driven organization. The position offers a high degree of stability, flexible working models including mobile work, and the opportunity to support over 175,000 students in Berlin through efficient IT infrastructure management.
Required Skills
Education
Degree (Bachelor/FH level) in Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Digital Business, IT Management, or a comparable commercial qualification (e.g., IT System Management).
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the planning and procurement of IT systems
- Professional experience in contract, license, or compliance management
- Experience working within the public sector or under public procurement regulations
- Proven experience managing external suppliers and service level agreements
- Practical experience using digital specialized systems for collaboration and ERP

- The role is based in Berlin (Hardenbergstraße). Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid model (mobile work and office). Applicants must meet the requirements for the TVöD STW BERLIN collective agreement (Salary Group 9b/9c).
