Job Summary

As a Hardware Developer for Functional Safety, you will play a critical role in developing, calculating, and testing circuit modules for innovative automation systems. Your daily responsibilities involve integrating these modules into functionally safe assemblies, conducting circuit and layout reviews, and collaborating closely with software, mechanical, and production teams. You will be responsible for calculating safety-related metrics using FMEDAs and performing development-related tests for EMC and environmental compliance. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in circuit and layout design and electronic component selection is desirable
  • Practical knowledge of Fieldbus systems such as EtherCAT or PROFINET
  • Experience with safety mechanisms including Watchdogs and diversity/plausibility checks
  • Experience in calculating safety-related metrics via FMEDAs is preferred
  • Experience in performing development-related testing for EMC and environmental factors
