Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the quality and safety of high-voltage overhead line construction projects, supporting the expansion of the German power grid for the energy transition. Day-to-day, you will perform construction inspections ranging from foundation work and steel construction to conductor pulling. A unique aspect of this position is the requirement for height work, as you will conduct inspections both from the ground and by climbing pylons. You will be responsible for documenting progress, managing defect rectification, and ensuring compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations. This position is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys a mix of field work and documentation, offering a company car for private use and a permanent contract in a critical infrastructure sector. The role provides a high degree of responsibility and variety within an international team environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training, Master Craftsman (Meister), or Technician certification in Electrical Engineering, Steel Construction, or Industrial Engineering; or a university degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in construction inspection or quality assurance within the energy or infrastructure sector
  • Experience in electrical engineering, steel construction, or industrial technology
  • Experience or willingness to train as an industrial climber for pylon inspections
  • Experience in handling Personal Protective Equipment against falls (PPE)
  • Experience in construction progress documentation and reporting
