Job Summary
This role involves serving as a Policy Advisor within the Ministry for Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Environment and Nature of Schleswig-Holstein. You will be responsible for ensuring the security of energy supply and the resilience of critical infrastructure against extreme weather, technical failures, and attacks. Day-to-day, you will act as the state supervisory authority for energy plants, represent the state in federal-state committees for electricity, gas, and mineral oil, and provide expert opinions on energy legislation. You will also monitor grid stability and support civil crisis management teams. This position is ideal for an electrical engineer who wants to shape the future of a green energy grid at a high strategic level. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or University Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a comparable engineering field.
Experience
- Professional experience in conducting technical grid analyses and risk assessments for power grids and electrotechnical systems
- Experience in energy policy or energy law within a regulatory or governmental context
- Experience in representing organizational interests in multi-stakeholder committees or federal-state working groups
- Experience in monitoring grid stability and evaluating network-related scenarios

- Candidates must be current state employees of Schleswig-Holstein or individuals with disabilities (or equivalent status). Must be willing to undergo a security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung). Role is based in Schleswig-Holstein.
