As an R&D Laboratory Technician in Assay Development, you will play a critical role in ensuring the excellence of clinical chemistry solutions at Roche Diagnostics. Your daily work involves an 'analytical detective' approach to identifying and solving complex quality issues for fully automated in-vitro diagnostics. You will independently plan and execute experimental series, adapt methods for analysis systems like the cobas c platform, and program computer-controlled test sequences. Beyond bench work, you will evaluate experimental data using statistical methods and contribute to the strategic optimization of diagnostic products. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, possesses a strong affinity for IT and data analysis, and is eager to build deep expert knowledge in a world-leading diagnostics environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Laboratory Technician (Chemistry/Biology) with relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a laboratory environment, specifically in chemistry or biology
  • Experience in the development and quality assurance of in-vitro diagnostics
  • Practical experience in operating and controlling complex analytical systems
  • Experience in structured documentation and data evaluation using IT tools
  • Preferred experience with cobas c devices, eLN, and OASEpro
