Job Summary
As a Wiring Harness Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the automotive development cycle by designing and optimizing complex 3D CAD wiring systems. Your daily responsibilities will involve the development of cable routing, component optimization, and technical coordination with clients regarding assembly requirements. You will be responsible for initiating prototype builds, conducting testing, and coordinating the introduction of new parts while ensuring process capability. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to present design statuses to stakeholders and contribute to technical specifications and documentation. Required Skills
Education
University degree or completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the development or design of vehicle electrical systems (Bordnetz)
- Experience in 3D CAD modeling within an automotive environment
- Experience in technical coordination with customers and conducting technical presentations
- Experience in coordinating new part introductions and investigating process capability
