As a Technical Lead PLC Programmer, you will head a specialized team of automation technicians and programmers within the aeronautics sector of REEL GmbH in Hamburg. Your daily responsibilities involve a blend of leadership and technical execution: you will mentor staff, prioritize tasks, and oversee the development of control concepts. On the technical side, you will program Siemens PLC systems (TIA Portal, SIMATIC S7), configure HMI visualizations, and optimize modern drive systems. A significant portion of the role involves on-site commissioning, where you will create test plans, conduct functional tests, and ensure safety compliance at customer sites. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a certified Technician qualification in a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in plant engineering or industrial equipment manufacturing
  • Experience in parameterization and integration of drive systems
  • Previous leadership experience in managing automation technicians is desirable
  • Experience in creating technical documentation and conducting customer training
