Job Summary

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist for the Central Imaging Intelligence agency, you will serve as a critical advisor to management on all matters regarding workplace safety and environmental protection. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting regular site inspections, performing risk assessments, and investigating workplace accidents to ensure compliance with legal and internal regulations. You will collaborate closely with company doctors, radiation protection officers, and fire safety representatives while preparing for official audits by supervisory authorities. This role is unique as it offers a path to becoming a German career civil servant (Beamter) within the Federal Defense administration. You will be responsible for organizing safety committees and conducting training sessions, making this an ideal position for a technical professional who enjoys both administrative oversight and active on-site safety management.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field, plus a Master Craftsman (Meister) certificate or equivalent military technical training.

Experience

  • Professional experience as a certified Occupational Health and Safety Specialist or Safety Master.
  • At least 2 years of practical technical experience following the completion of a Master Craftsman (Meister) qualification.
  • Experience in a technical field such as Electronics or Mechatronics.
  • Experience in preparing and conducting safety training and presentations.

Additional

  • Must possess German citizenship. Requires a high-level security clearance (Ü3); employment starts with Ü2 clearance. Must be willing to undergo medical examination. Candidates for civil servant status should generally be under 50 years of age. Willingness to complete additional training for Fire Safety and Environmental Protection officers if not already qualified.
