Job Summary
As a Maintenance Team Lead (Senior RME Technician) at Amazon, you will be at the core of innovation within the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve leading a technical maintenance team during shifts to ensure all equipment and systems operate at peak efficiency and safety. You will monitor equipment performance through visual inspections and condition-based monitoring, performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime in a high-speed logistics environment. Beyond technical oversight, you will act as a mentor, supporting the development of your team members and driving continuous improvement projects across the EU network. This role is highly dynamic, utilizing tools like SCADA to optimize processes and ensure the rapid processing of over 1.5 million daily orders. Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker), Master Craftsman (Meister), or a University Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Experience
- Professional experience in the automation and maintenance of conveyor systems
- Practical experience in leading and developing technical teams
- Experience in shift-based operations including nights and weekends
- Experience in monitoring equipment performance and condition-based maintenance
- Experience in managing external contractors and third-party firms is preferred
