Job Summary
As a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician and Team Lead, you will be the core of Amazon's technical operations in a logistics fulfillment center. You will lead a maintenance team during shifts, ensuring all equipment and systems operate at peak performance while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your daily responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance through visual inspections and condition-based monitoring, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting automated systems to minimize downtime. You will act as a mentor to your technical team, supporting their professional development and ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed. This role is unique for its focus on continuous improvement across the EU network, utilizing advanced tools like SCADA to optimize processes. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training (IHK/HWK) or a university degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related). Additionally, qualification as an Industrial Master (Industriemeister), Master Craftsman (Handwerksmeister), or State-Certified Technician is required.
Experience
- Professional experience in the automation and maintenance of conveyor systems
- Practical experience in leading and developing technical teams
- Experience in monitoring equipment performance and condition-based maintenance
- Experience in managing external contractors and third-party firms
- Experience using computer-controlled maintenance management systems for proactive planning
Languages
Additional
- Must be willing to work in shift models including nights and weekends. Role is based on-site at a logistics fulfillment center. Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements for technical systems is required.
