Job Summary
This high-level leadership role at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) involves managing the administrative operations of the Faculty of Fine Arts, which supports 34 professors and approximately 1,000 students. You will lead the administrative team and oversee the strategic planning and controlling of human, financial, and spatial resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising the Dean's office on organizational development, managing academic self-governance committees, and coordinating study program planning. You will also play a critical role in recruitment processes, third-party funding management, and the implementation of occupational health and safety standards. This position is ideal for a professional who understands the unique intersection of artistic practice and academic administration. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or Diploma in Administrative Science, Economics, Law, Humanities, or Social Sciences (or equivalent skills and experience).
Experience
- Professional experience in university administration, preferably at an arts university
- Proven leadership experience and experience in staff development
- Experience working within complex organizational structures
- Experience in the acquisition and management of third-party funds
- Experience in administrative process optimization
- Deep knowledge of German labor law, public service law, and budgetary regulations

- The position is available starting June 1, 2026. Includes access to a company ticket for public transport (VBB) and additional pension benefits (VBL). Candidates must be able to work within the TV-L E13 pay grade framework.
