Job Summary
As an IT Infrastructure Administrator at the Jewish Hospital Berlin, you will play a critical role in maintaining and modernizing the digital backbone of a historic 391-bed emergency hospital. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the administration of Windows Server systems (2016-2022), managing Active Directory, and overseeing a VMware virtualization environment. You will also manage NetApp storage, configure active networks (IP/FC/iSCSI), and optimize data backup solutions using Veeam. Beyond technical maintenance, you will lead IT projects, manage external service providers, and contribute to the hospital's digitalization strategy to meet high security standards like NIS-2 and KRITIS. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or a comparable IT qualification. Advanced training as an IT Business Manager, Technician, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is desirable.
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience as an IT Administrator focusing on servers and networks
- Professional experience in the hospital or healthcare sector preferred
- Proven experience in coordinating and managing external IT service providers
- Practical project experience in migrations, system implementations, and infrastructure upgrades
