Job Summary
As an IT Infrastructure Administrator at the Jewish Hospital Berlin, you will play a critical role in maintaining and modernizing the digital backbone of a 391-bed emergency hospital. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the administration of Windows Server systems (2016-2022), managing VMware virtualization environments, and overseeing NetApp storage solutions. You will be responsible for network configuration (IP/FC/iSCSI), backup management via Veeam, and the steering of external IT service providers. This position is unique as it sits at the intersection of IT, medicine, and nursing, offering the chance to actively shape the hospital's digitalization strategy in compliance with high security standards like NIS-2 and KRITIS. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or equivalent IT qualification. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or advanced technical certification (Techniker/IT-Betriebswirt) is desirable.
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in IT administration focusing on servers and networks
- Proven experience in managing and steering external IT service providers
- Practical project experience in migrations, system implementations, or infrastructure upgrades
- Professional experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is preferred
