As a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Technology Innovation department for Power and Vacuum Products, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare technology. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing innovative electrical components for X-ray applications, managing the entire lifecycle from initial ideation and feasibility studies to prototyping and final handover to product development. You will tackle complex technical challenges within multidisciplinary teams and collaborate closely with external partners. This role is highly dynamic, requiring you to monitor global technology trends and evaluate their potential for Siemens Healthineers. What makes this position unique is the high level of flexibility, offering up to 60% mobile work within Germany and opportunities for short-term remote work from abroad. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study; a PhD or research background is preferred.
Experience
- Long-term professional experience in research and advanced development of complex electrotechnical systems
- Extensive experience in power electronics and control technology
- Proven track record in high-voltage technology
- Experience in the medical technology or high-tech industry is preferred
- Experience in developing high-voltage generators for X-ray systems is highly desirable
- Experience in drafting funding applications for research projects

Additional
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 5%) primarily within Europe to visit partners. Role allows for up to 60% mobile work within Germany and up to 30 days per year from selected foreign countries.
