Job Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the professional commissioning and acceptance of bioprocess plants within the highly regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology environment. Your daily activities include verifying installations, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at manufacturer sites, and performing Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) directly at customer locations. A critical component of this role is maintaining meticulous documentation in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) guidelines. You will work within interdisciplinary project teams, resolving technical issues and facilitating final plant handovers. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification with relevant professional experience and further training.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning of bioprocess plants or similar systems in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry
  • Proven experience in conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) or comparable plant acceptance procedures
  • Experience working within regulated environments following GMP and GDP guidelines
  • Experience in handling technical documentation and understanding qualification/validation processes
