Job Summary
As a Measurement Technician for Protection Systems at Spangdahlem Air Base, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of electrical infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities include monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with cathodic corrosion protection, grounding, and lightning protection standards. You will perform technical measurements, document results, and serve as a team lead for both military and civilian electricians. The role involves inspecting high-voltage distribution systems (1 kV to 30 kV) and managing inventory for the electrical workshop. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electrician, Electronics Technician, or a related technical field. A secondary school diploma (Mittlere Reife) is required if applying with fewer than 2 years of experience.
Experience
- 2 years of relevant professional experience if applying with a standard vocational qualification
- Professional experience in maintenance and repair of electronic systems
- Experience in leading military and civilian personnel
- Practical experience in high-voltage and secondary distribution systems
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must have the physical ability to work at heights up to 20 meters and lift weights of 30 kg or more. Switching authorization for 1 kV to 30 kV systems is desired. Must pass a security clearance check and an internal English proficiency test.
