Job Summary
As a BI Engineer for SAP and Cloud Analytics at BYK-Chemie, you will be responsible for managing and advancing the SAP Datasphere as the central consumption layer of the company's analytics landscape. Your daily activities will involve designing, constructing, and maintaining data models, views, and transformation flows. You will also oversee the Azure Databricks environment, providing support for data pipelines and models. A key part of the role is collaborating with business departments to translate functional requirements into technical solutions while coordinating with external development partners. Required Skills
Education
Degree or vocational training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the Business Intelligence (BI) or Data Engineering environment
- Experience in conceptualizing and maintaining data models and transformation flows
- Experience with modern data and analytics platforms, particularly SAP and Azure ecosystems
- Experience in coordinating and managing external development partners
- Industry experience in manufacturing or specialty chemicals is preferred
