Job Summary
As a BI Engineer for SAP and Cloud Analytics at BYK-Chemie, you will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous development of the SAP Datasphere as the central consumption layer of the company's analytics landscape. Your daily tasks include designing, constructing, and maintaining data models, views, and transformation flows. You will also manage the Azure Databricks environment, supporting data pipelines and translating business requirements into technical solutions in close collaboration with various departments. This role is unique for its cross-platform scope, involving the technical steering of external development partners and the active shaping of the company's long-term data strategy. Required Skills
Education
Degree or vocational training in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the BI or Data Engineering environment
- Experience in modern data and analytics platforms, specifically SAP and Azure ecosystems
- Proven experience in data modeling and building data architectures
- Experience in the technical management and coordination of external development partners
- Professional background in the manufacturing industry is preferred
