Job Summary

This role involves the model-based planning and construction of traction power substations for DB Energie GmbH in Leipzig. As a BIM Designer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining digital BIM models using Autodesk Revit and Primtech 3D across various project phases. Your day-to-day will involve creating technical solutions for new constructions or replacements of power systems, while managing data within a Common Data Environment (CDE). You will play a key role in model coordination and quality assurance, including collision checks and interface management with external stakeholders. This position is unique for its focus on the specialized 16.7-Hz traction power grid and the opportunity to actively shape the company's BIM standards. The role offers a comprehensive onboarding program, including site visits, to deepen your expertise in railway power supply and infrastructure management within a flexible, modern working environment.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in digital planning and technical implementation of infrastructure projects across HOAI service phases
  • Proven user experience with Autodesk Revit and ideally Primtech 3D
  • Experience in energy supply, specifically energy plants or railway operations is preferred
  • Experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) systems such as Autodesk Forma
  • Experience in model coordination and technical quality assurance
