Job Summary

As a (Junior) Electrical Engineer at DB Energie GmbH, you will be responsible for planning and designing the critical power supply infrastructure for the Berlin and Hamburg S-Bahn networks. Your day-to-day activities involve the technical planning of station control systems, remote control systems, and secondary technology such as protection, control, and measurement systems in substations and rectifier plants. You will manage technical solution selection, coordinate with external engineering firms, and oversee project costs and schedules. The role includes regular site visits and technical surveys of substations and construction sites. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Professional experience or academic focus in electrical engineering, automation, or power systems
  • Initial experience in the technical implementation of infrastructure projects according to HOAI phases is preferred
  • Experience with energy supply systems or railway operations is considered a plus
  • Proven experience in using CAD programs and standard MS Office applications
  • Experience in coordinating specialist planners and external engineering offices
