Job Summary
As a Metrology Technician, you will play a critical role in quality assurance and product development by performing precise measurements for development projects, complaints, and series production orders. Your daily responsibilities include creating initial sample inspection reports, measuring purchased parts against defined criteria, and performing metrological analysis to solve manufacturing issues. You will be responsible for preparing CAD data and creating or optimizing CNC measurement programs. This position is highly collaborative, requiring coordination with internal departments and external service providers to ensure adherence to specifications, standards, and legal requirements. Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Technician (State-certified), Metrology Technician, Automotive Technician, Materials Technician, or a comparable technical qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in 3D length measurement technology and freeform surface software
- Experience in creating and optimizing CNC measurement programs
- Proven background in quality management and initial sample inspection reporting (PPAP/ISIR)
- Experience in technical communication and negotiation with customers and suppliers
- Background in automotive or mechanical engineering sectors
