Job Summary

As an Acoustic Engineer in Hamburg, you will be responsible for conducting critical sound and vibration measurements during various testing phases, including Factory, Harbor, and Sea Acceptance Tests (FAT, HAT, and SAT). Your daily activities will involve performing airborne, structure-borne, and foundation impedance measurements in accordance with DIN and German Navy standards. You will also play a key role in analyzing limit value violations, creating forecasts for mechanical impedance, and documenting all findings within PLM systems and DoorsNG. This position is particularly attractive for professionals interested in the maritime sector, as it involves measuring shaft system performance and participating in national and international sea trials. You will work within a specialized acoustics team to ensure technical compliance and high-quality reporting for complex naval or shipbuilding projects.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (TU/FH, Diploma, Master) in Engineering or a certified Technician qualification with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in acoustic measurement or a related technical field
  • Experience in interpreting shipbuilding-specific technical drawings
  • Proven experience in conducting measurements according to DIN and German Navy regulations
  • Experience with root cause analysis regarding threshold/limit value violations

Additional

  • Willingness to travel to berths and participate in national and international sea trials is required. Knowledge of ITAR regulations is mandatory. Position involves working under DGB/GVP collective bargaining agreements.
