This full-time Research Associate position at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg offers a three-year fixed-term contract starting in July 2026. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Physics and a Master's degree in Physics or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in theoretical solid state physics research
  • Experience with density functional theory and topological properties of solids
  • Professional experience in the theory of orbital magnetism
  • Experience in programming for scientific simulations using Fortran, Python, or C++
  • Experience in academic teaching and student supervision is desirable
