Job Summary
This role at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry involves performing critical experimental work within the Department of Molecular Machines and Signaling. Day-to-day responsibilities include the maintenance and growth of insect and mammalian cell cultures, protein expression and purification using ÄKTA chromatography systems, and conducting standard molecular biology experiments such as cloning and nucleic acid analysis. Beyond bench work, the successful candidate will manage lab organization, equipment maintenance, and stock control. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (BTA, MTA, or CTA).
Experience
- Professional experience in mammalian and insect cell culture and/or virus handling
- Solid knowledge of standard molecular biology and protein biochemistry techniques
- Experience operating computer-controlled laboratory equipment
- Proven experience in laboratory organization and stock control
