Job Summary

The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry is seeking a dedicated Technical Assistant to join Dr. Kikuë Tachibana’s research group. In this role, you will play a vital part in investigating the molecular mechanisms of life’s beginnings, specifically focusing on totipotency and chromatin reorganization in mouse embryos. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include animal husbandry, managing breeding programs, performing genotyping, and conducting laboratory experiments such as DNA sequencing and tissue sampling. You will also be responsible for meticulous documentation using PyRAT software and assisting in the training of new scientific staff on experimental methods. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (BTA, CTA, PTA, VMTA, MTA) or Biological Laboratory Technician (Biologielaborant). A certificate of competence for animal experimentation (FELASA or equivalent) is mandatory.
