Job Summary

This role involves supporting the development, rollout, and operation of a statewide university procurement platform as part of the Digitalverbund Bayern. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for creating functional descriptions, implementing technical requirements, and advancing the digital procurement system (E-Procurement). A significant portion of the work focuses on expanding and standardizing system interfaces, such as B2B connections and ERP system integrations across various Bavarian universities. You will also manage automated server deployments and ensure the continuous professionalization of support and maintenance processes. This position is particularly attractive for those seeking a balance between innovation and tradition within a university setting, offering flexible working hours, telecommuting options, and a public service pension scheme (VBL). You will work closely with university partners, manufacturers, and service providers to integrate systems into local IT landscapes.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar engineering or natural science field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in software development using at least two of Perl, Python, or PHP
  • Sound experience working with databases, preferably MS SQL Server
  • Experience in automated server deployment using Ansible
  • Professional experience in planning and integrating IT systems into existing landscapes
  • Experience in E-procurement or ERP systems is desirable
