Job Summary

As a Senior Professional System Engineer, you will join the IT System House of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), one of Germany's largest IT landscapes. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and operating software solutions and infrastructures within the HR business field. Your day-to-day tasks involve planning and maintaining IT systems, analyzing performance data, and troubleshooting complex software and infrastructure issues. The role focuses on both standard software like SAP-ERP and custom in-house developments, utilizing agile methodologies to serve over 110,000 users. This position is particularly attractive due to its high level of flexibility, offering up to 80% remote work (home office). While the team is based in Nuremberg/Fürth, the role can be performed from various locations across Germany, including Berlin, Bochum, and Düsseldorf, provided you are willing to travel for initial onboarding and regular team collaboration.

Required Skills

Education

University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Computer Science or Business Informatics.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in software development or IT system operations
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting software solutions and infrastructure
  • Proven experience with programming languages and software customization
  • Experience with SAP-HCM technical components and ERP business processes is highly desirable
  • Experience working in agile development environments
