Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, a world-leading particle accelerator facility in Darmstadt. As an Electrical Engineer within the 'Nuclear Astrophysics' department, you will collaborate closely with scientists to develop and operate custom instrumentation and measurement electronics for high-level physical experiments. Your day-to-day will involve providing technical consultancy during the planning and construction phases of experimental setups, managing measurement and control technology, and acting as a primary technical contact for electrical safety. You will also be responsible for creating risk assessments for laboratories and experimental sites.
