Job Summary
As an Automation Technician at FERCHAU, you will be responsible for the development and programming of PLC control systems and automation concepts using industry-standard tools such as Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley, or CODESYS. Your daily tasks involve creating HMI visualizations, conducting rigorous testing, and performing error analysis to ensure system integrity. You will support the creation of hardware concepts using CAD tools like EPLAN P8 and handle the commissioning of machinery and plants, including training operating personnel and maintaining documentation according to machinery directives. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering or completed further training as a state-certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister).
Experience
- Professional experience in PCS7 or PLC control systems and automation technology
- Experience in measurement, control, and drive technology
- Practical knowledge of Siemens TIA-Portal or CODESYS controllers and visualization tools
- Experience with graphical project planning tools such as AutoCAD or EPLAN P8 is preferred
- Experience in commissioning and technical documentation according to machinery directives
Languages
Additional
- Must have at least B2 level German proficiency; willingness to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility for project-based commissioning tasks.
