Job Summary

This role involves serving as the lead developer for electronic and electrical engineering within the Monitoring and Diagnostics (M&D) systems department for a global leader in the nuclear industry. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of analog and digital circuits, focusing on monitoring components like valves, actuators, and pumps. Day-to-day tasks include designing analog front-end sensors, signal processing units, and microcontroller circuits, as well as creating PCB layouts and low-level firmware. You will work closely with software teams to program hardware and conduct prototype testing, troubleshooting, and optimization. This position is particularly attractive because it offers a clear long-term career path toward product management for sensor technology. Based in Karlstein with occasional travel to Erlangen, the role provides a 35-hour work week with flexible hours and a permanent contract in a highly specialized technical environment.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. or equivalent) with specialized knowledge in microcontrollers, firmware, and measurement technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development of analog and digital electronic circuits
  • Experience in microcontroller firmware development using C or C++
  • Proven experience in EMC-compliant circuit design and testing
  • Professional experience in creating technical documentation, user manuals, and test specifications
  • Experience in prototype construction, troubleshooting, and optimization of electronic systems
