Job Summary
As an IT Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of scalable data models for data warehouses and data lakes. Your daily tasks will involve developing, automating, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines while connecting diverse data sources across on-premise, cloud, and SaaS environments. You will manage a variety of relational and NoSQL databases, focusing on query tuning and index strategies to minimize latency and control costs. This role requires close collaboration with data analysts and business stakeholders to ensure high data quality and the implementation of data governance policies. Beyond technical execution, you will oversee the commissioning and maintenance of operational IT systems and manage external service providers. Required Skills
Education
Completed 4-year university degree in (Business) Informatics or Computer Science.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in data analysis, cloud platforms, and artificial intelligence
- Professional experience in designing and implementing scalable data models
- Experience in managing heterogeneous data sources including APIs and streaming data
- Experience in steering and collaborating with external service providers
- Experience in maintaining and developing operational IT systems
