Job Summary

As a Project and Financial Controller at the LVR Industrial Museum in Oberhausen, you will join an eight-person administrative team responsible for steering the museum's budget and exhibition finances. Your day-to-day work involves creating detailed controlling reports for rotating exhibitions, conducting economic efficiency calculations for facility services like waste management and cleaning, and preparing quarterly and annual reports for the museum network. You will serve as a key financial advisor to the museum management, providing forecasts, variance analyses, and decision-making proposals. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree, FH-Diploma, or First State Examination in Administrative Sciences, Law, or Business Administration; alternatively, completion of Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II) or qualification for the elevated civil service.

Experience

  • Professional experience in financial controlling and budget management within public administration (federal, state, or local level)
  • Proven experience using SAP procurement systems and S/4HANA modules
  • Experience in creating financial reports, forecasts, and settlement of grants/subsidies
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement and applying public procurement law

  • Must have the right to work in Germany. For foreign degrees, a certificate evaluation from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) and recognition by the relevant district government are required. Position is part-time (max 19.5 hours/week) located in Oberhausen.
