Job Summary
As a PLC Programmer and Automation Engineer at FERCHAU, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and programming of control software for sophisticated industrial automation systems. Your daily tasks involve creating software concepts based on specific client requirements, utilizing platforms such as Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, Rockwell, or Beckhoff. You will integrate complex drive, safety, and fieldbus systems like Profinet and EtherCAT, while performing rigorous simulations and error analyses. A significant portion of this role (approximately 40%) involves on-site commissioning both domestically and internationally, ensuring systems are optimized for performance and maintainability. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical vocational training/qualification.
Experience

- Practical experience with HMI systems and visualization methods
- Experience in integrating safety and fieldbus systems
- Professional background in automation or electrical engineering
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (approximately 40% travel required). German language skills at a minimum of B2 level are mandatory.
