Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the 24/7 operational stability of the traffic management IT infrastructure (VZD) in Frankfurt am Main. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimization, and modernization of IT services critical to Germany's highway network. Your tasks include managing active network components, overseeing software updates and backups, and implementing IT security and data protection standards. You will act as a technical expert in significant projects and manage external service providers. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) preferably specializing in System Integration, or comparable qualifications. Cisco CCNA certification is desirable.
Experience
- Professional experience in the operation of software distribution systems, firewalls, and network environments
- Proven experience in data center operations including hardware, virtualization, and storage systems
- Practical experience in server administration, Active Directory, and terminal services such as Citrix
- Experience using scripting languages like PowerShell for automation and monitoring tasks
- Experience in managing external IT service providers and implementing security protocols
