Job Summary

Working for the Lichtenberg District Office in Berlin, the Internal Auditor ensures the integrity and security of social welfare payments and administrative processes. You will be responsible for conducting post-payment audits within the OPEN/PROSOZ IT system, performing special audits, and monitoring the appropriate use of grants. A key part of the role involves developing recommendations for management to prevent fraud and corruption. You will represent the district in cross-district working groups focused on payment security and anti-corruption measures. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree from a university or university of applied sciences in the fields of Administrative Law, Social Law, or Jurisprudence. Must meet the requirements for the first entry level of career group 2 in the 'General Administrative Service' in Germany.

Experience

  • Several years of professional administrative experience in the field of social affairs
  • Professional experience specifically in social benefits law (Leistungsrecht)
  • Experience in conducting audits or payment security reviews
  • Experience working within public sector regulatory frameworks
