Job Summary
As a Project Engineer at Wallstein Ingenieur GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in making industrial processes more sustainable and energy-efficient. Operating out of the Recklinghausen headquarters, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and configuration of complex plant solutions, ranging from individual heat exchangers to comprehensive multi-component systems. Your daily activities will include analyzing customer specifications, performing technical calculations, evaluating commercial conditions, and structuring scopes of delivery. You will bridge the gap between sales, engineering, and project management by developing competitive bids and presenting technical concepts directly to international clients. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys technical detail as much as the 'big picture' and wants to contribute to visible, eco-friendly industrial projects within a dynamic, family-owned international group.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable engineering field; alternatively, equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in plant construction, apparatus engineering, project planning, or technical sales
- Proven experience in analyzing tenders and customer specifications to develop system solutions
- Experience in calculating manufacturing costs and obtaining supplier quotes
- Background in presenting technical concepts to customers and supporting the transition to project execution
Languages
Additional
- The role is based in Recklinghausen, Germany. Candidates must be able to handle international project requirements and collaborate with global locations in Poland and China.
