Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Manager for the Northern Regional Directorate of the BG RCI, you will play a pivotal role in the recovery and reintegration of insured individuals following workplace accidents. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve planning, coordinating, and actively managing medical rehabilitation and vocational participation services. You will serve as a primary consultant for severely injured persons and their families, coordinating closely with medical professionals and service providers to determine needs for nursing care, assistive devices, and housing or vehicle modifications. This role is highly impactful, requiring a blend of administrative expertise and deep human empathy to support individuals returning to professional and social life. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Social Insurance (Bachelor/FH-Diploma) or an equivalent accredited Bachelor's degree; alternatively, completed training as a Social Insurance Specialist with additional qualifying experience.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in accident or occupational disease claims processing (for degree holders)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in rehabilitation and benefits within the upper administrative service (for those with vocational training)
  • Professional experience in advising severely injured persons and coordinating with medical service providers
  • Proven track record in organizational management and independent decision-making

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B (or Class 3) driver's license is mandatory. Willingness to perform field service and travel within the assigned regions (Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Berlin, and Northern Brandenburg). Must have the emotional resilience to work with severely injured individuals.
