Job Summary
As a Senior Platform Engineer at HUK-COBURG, you will be a key driver in the maintenance and evolution of the company's server and software systems, with a specific focus on microservices and middleware architecture. Your daily responsibilities include the installation and introduction of Linux-based operating system software, as well as the continuous development and quality control of the OpenShift container management platform. You will design integration concepts for new container solutions using Kubernetes and OpenShift, while providing second-level support and architectural consulting for various IT projects. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working at the intersection of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a comparable field of study; or equivalent multi-year professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the field of platform engineering or Linux environments
- Proven experience in the setup and operation of container management solutions, ideally OpenShift
- Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, DevOps methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience in developing architectural and operational concepts for enterprise systems
- Background in providing second-level support and technical project consulting
