Job Summary
This operative role focuses on the daily on-site management of fiber optic (FTTx/FTTH/FTTB) construction projects. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring that excavation, pipe laying, and cable blowing are executed according to technical standards. You will handle quality control, documentation via digital tools, and ensure compliance with traffic safety and occupational health regulations. A significant part of the role involves identifying deviations from plans, managing on-site issues like utility damage, and reporting progress directly to the Project Manager. This position is ideal for hands-on professionals who prefer leading from the field rather than a desk. It offers a unique opportunity for both experienced civil engineers and motivated career starters to work on critical infrastructure projects with a structured onboarding process and nationwide project exposure.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical/Utility Engineering, Road and Traffic Construction, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in civil engineering, road construction, or cable laying is preferred.
- Entry-level candidates with relevant internships or working student activities in civil engineering are welcome.
- Experience in managing construction crews and subcontractors on-site.
- Proven experience in creating construction daily reports and onsite measurements (Aufmaß).

Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license is mandatory (Class C/CE is an advantage). Willingness to travel for nationwide project assignments is required. Must be able to work on-site daily.
