Job Summary
As a Project Manager for Fiber Optic Expansion, you will take full operational responsibility for FTTx civil engineering projects from preparation to final acceptance. Your daily activities involve securing permits from authorities and utility providers, coordinating execution planning, and managing on-site construction teams and subcontractors. You will be responsible for scheduling, cost monitoring, and material disposition, ensuring that all fiber optic installation—including trenching, blowing, and restoration—meets quality and safety standards. A significant portion of the role involves handling billing according to VOB/B regulations, managing supplementary claims, and maintaining comprehensive site documentation. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who excels at being the central interface between clients, authorities, and technical teams. The role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale infrastructure projects with a high degree of autonomy and nationwide impact.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical/Supply Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent; alternatively, a Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician certification in Civil Engineering/Cable Construction.
Experience
- Several years of experience in the independent project management of civil engineering, cable laying, or fiber optic infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in dealing with authorities, utility providers, and permit procedures
- Professional experience in managing subcontractors and internal construction teams
- Practical experience in construction billing, measurement, and supplementary claim management (VOB/B)

Additional
