Job Summary
This role involves working for the Darmstadt Regional Council within the department for Air and Freight Transport and Noise Protection. As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and defining measures to reduce air pollutants in alignment with EU air quality directives and the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). Your daily tasks will include conducting pollutant source analyses and assessing air pollution control measures to ensure limit values are met and exceeded periods are minimized. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Protection Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is also welcome.
Experience
- Professional experience in environmental engineering or air quality management
- Experience in evaluating air pollution control measures and pollutant source analysis
- Knowledge of immission control laws and transport planning is advantageous
- Experience in public administration or regulatory environments is preferred
